Mark’s love for sport was nurtured in his home club, St. Fintan’s Mountrath, a dual club where hurling and football are played, though hurling was his true passion. Mark represented Laois in both minor hurling and football in the same year. Sport has always been central to Mark’s life. Meeting up at 12.45 pm outside of Padmore and Barnes car park entrance on Wolfe Tone Street. The Parade starts at 1.30 pm from the top of John's Street and finishing at the end of High Street. Clonmel – Monday, March 17th 3pm The GAA’s internal management structure is multi-layered with the vast majority of all serving officers beginning their administrative involvement at club level. All administrators, regardless of rank or their level of involvement, are members of one of the Association’s 2,300 plus clubs. This year’s parade featured two pipe bands, police and fire departments, military marchers and a fleet of Irish dancers. Indeed our club has very fond memories of this day as a hurling day as in 1996 that we reached the holy grail to become the #1 Club in the country when we won the Tommy Moore Cup. The good news is hurling is back on St Patricks Day in the Bridge with our Comórtas Balla Ball event happening in the arena at 2pm following the local parade. This
